Book your Dental Sedation Treatment

Dear Patient,

Having completed you Sedation Assessment you now need to book your treatment. Rest assured our team at Clarendon Dental Spa will ensure your comfort and well-being throughout the process.

To book your appointment, follow these steps:

1. Click the "Book Here" link below and login to your patient portal

2. Be careful to select the correct appointment type and your correct location (Leeds, Huddersfield, or Dewsbury) for your extraction from these 3 options:

NHS - Sed XLA Appt 2 of 2 (Leeds)
NHS - Sed XLA Appt 2 of 2 (Huddersfield)
NHS - Sed XLA Appt 2 of 2 (Dewsbury)

(Only book one of these appointment if you have already had your sedation assessment with the dentist. If not, you have received, this email by mistake and need to contact us to let us know)

3. Pick a date and time.

If no appointments are available online, try again after 24-48 hours.

If this is your first time on the patient portal: Choose the option: I'm a new patient and enter your personal details. After your registration, choose: Book an appointment > Consultations. Where you will find the appointments listed above available to select.

Our clinic locations are:

Pre-Sedation Instructions for Your Dental Appointment

We're providing sedation for your dental treatment to ensure a relaxing experience. The sedation is given via an injection on the back of your hand or in your arm. After you feel relaxed, we'll administer local anaesthesia to numb your mouth before starting the extraction.

You're likely to feel peaceful during the procedure, and might not remember much afterwards. We'll allow time for you to recover before you leave with your escort.

Before Your Appointment:

• Alert us immediately if you become ill, as it might affect your treatment.

• Let us know about any medicine you're currently taking. Continue taking them as usual, unless advised otherwise, and bring them to your appointment.

• Avoid alcohol the night before your appointment.

• Remove any nail polish.

• Refrain from smoking and consuming food or drink for two hours before your appointment.

• Keep these instructions in a visible place, such as on your fridge.

At Your Appointment:

• A responsible adult (over 16 years) should accompany you, stay throughout your appointment, take you home, and care for you for the next 24 hours. It's preferable for them to drive you home.

• Please don't bring children to your sedation appointments.

After Your Appointment:

For 24 hours post-sedation, avoid…

• Driving

• Operating machinery

• Drinking alcohol

• Working or signing legal documents

• Making important decisions

Following these instructions will ensure a smooth treatment appointment, If you have any questions, feel free to ask your dentist or nurse.

We won't be able to sedate you if these instructions aren't followed.

Important:

• Book your appointment within 14 days or we may need to refer you back to your initial dentist.

• Notify us 48 hours in advance if you need to cancel your appointment.

• Limit rescheduling to only once, if necessary.

• Please be on time for your appointment to ensure effective treatment. Non-attendance may lead to discharge.
