Dr David Auld

Dr Auld qualified from the University of Glasgow in 2005 and went on to gain broad clinical experience across general practice, community dentistry and multiple hospital specialties, including oral and maxillofacial surgery, orthodontics and periodontology. This diverse foundation informed his progression into specialist paediatric dentistry.

He completed his specialist training in Yorkshire, achieving an MDentSci from the University of Leeds, and joined the GDC Specialist Register in Paediatric Dentistry in 2012. Since then, he has treated thousands of referred patients across the North of England, managing a wide range of complex cases including dental trauma, developmental conditions, and treatment for anxious or very young patients.

Alongside his clinical work, Dr Auld is actively involved in postgraduate education, teaching and examining for institutions including the University of Leeds, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, and national training bodies. He has contributed to academic research through publications in peer-reviewed journals and regularly delivers lectures both in the UK and internationally.

His practice is focused entirely on specialist paediatric care, offering comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each child, including the use of inhalation sedation where appropriate, with an emphasis on achieving the best possible long-term outcomes.
