Following early experience in practice, he moved to Glasgow where he worked with children with special needs at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children, developing a strong foundation in managing complex cases.
He went on to complete a Master’s degree in Paediatric Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute in London, where he was awarded the 3M Winter Prize for outstanding postgraduate performance. Further hospital-based training in oral and maxillofacial surgery, sedation and paediatric dentistry across leading UK centres expanded his clinical scope, alongside achieving Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Dr Al-Chihabi currently works as a Specialty Dentist in Paediatric Dentistry at Manchester Dental Hospital, where he is involved in delivering complex care for referred patients. His clinical interests include the management of dental trauma, treatment of medically compromised children, and supporting anxious or phobic patients using both behavioural techniques and inhalation sedation.
Alongside clinical practice, he has contributed to academic research through publications in peer-reviewed journals and continues to engage with developments in paediatric dentistry through ongoing study and professional involvement.
