Dr Akhtar is a highly experienced clinician in oral surgery and implant dentistry, providing advanced, referral-based treatments with a strong focus on precision, safety and patient care.

Dr Akhtar graduated from the University of Manchester with multiple academic honours, including the Edgar Houghton Operative Dentistry Prize for the highest standard of clinical work. Following vocational training, he undertook core training in oral and maxillofacial surgery across several major hospitals in Greater Manchester, developing a strong surgical foundation.
He has since built an advanced clinical career focused on oral surgery, implant dentistry and sedation. In 2017, he attained the MFDS qualification, and later completed the FGDP Diploma in Implant Dentistry, accredited by the Royal College of Surgeons of England. His implant training has been extensive, including advanced techniques in bone grafting, full-arch rehabilitation and immediate loading protocols, supported by further study across Europe.
Alongside implantology, Dr Akhtar has advanced training in endodontics and aesthetic restorative dentistry, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of complex treatment planning. He has also held a leadership role as Clinical Lead for Minor Oral Surgery services in Greater Manchester, contributing to the development and delivery of specialist care pathways.
He now limits his practice to oral surgery, implant and sedation dentistry, accepting referrals for a wide range of complex procedures, delivered with a meticulous and patient-centred approach.
